Re: Hand inside ball?

Posted by: jlg () on Mon Feb 24 09:33:21 2003

I just watched your video the final arc. One thing that was unclear to me was the circular hand path. After we do the inside turn with our shoulders and our hands start in the circular path, it looks to me like they move away from the body to go in this circular path. Do you still want to keep the hands inside the ball or doesn't it matter with this circular path?

-----
The circular hand path is generated with the top hand and the pull or keeping the knob LINEAR is generated by the bottom hand. The path of the knob is in fact an ARC/ circular but remember according to the video there is also this torque action happening with the hands - check out top hand torque and bottom hand torque again and ask yourself what effect that has on this circular hand path. Look at the post below talking about Gywnn's analysis of Bonds swing. Gywnn says he sees no ARC.
