Re: Where is Zig now?

Seems like O'Reilly took on Zig and now Zig is gone. Hank King too. Both appeared out of nowhere. Now they both disappear. And JoeA makes a cameo. Somehow this should be made into a movie...

Well, my apologies to Zig. Zig really does exist and that is his name and he works for Skill Technology Inc. I talked to the VP there who confirmed this.
I guess my 60's conspiracy theories don't always hold up...

The big issue that emerged from Zig's posts is that while his product looks like a very good tool for analysis, it is the assumptions of what a good swing is, that govern how to interpret the data.
Zig did not respond with what I thought would be the obvious:
a sample from a professional hitter. Arguing over a clip of big Mac didn't prove much - your word against mine. Real data from his product might have taught us all something and been a very good advertisement for Zig's product.
From what I understand, Skill Technology hasn't finished its professional hitting analysis though they have dealt with some pro players already.
This hitting crowd here is a tough bunch and the facts hold up much better than any bs. Maybe we'll learn something from this yet...
