Re: Re: Low lead elbow/shoulder

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I taught her Final Arc II rotational hitting 5 years
ago - she's 17 now. I don't specifically remember her swing from back then,
just that it was linear. I'm her hitting coach, can't afford a pro.

Her swing is pretty much perfect rotational except the low elbow. She hides
her hands low, but begins the swing with good top and torque, keeps elbows
close to body, hands stay back, lower body mechanics are excellent,
everything is about as good as can be, except the low lead elbow.

Any other ideas?

> I assume she has been playing many years.. and she clearly has the work
ethic to improve. Did she always hit like that, or did she at one point have more
of a slight uppercut swing plane and is now just not keeping her hands flat
through the zone? Are you certain her coach or hitting coach is teaching her
the same thing you are? Or might she feel under pressure to conform to
different mechanics..what you are describing is more of a slap swing, correct?
> If that's not the case, then perhaps making sure she turns/rotates the barrel
without moving her hands forward as lower body starts will help.
