Re: Initial Top Hand Position

Posted by: () on Tue Mar 18 19:10:18 2003

I dissagree that the height of the rear elbow has an effect on the hand position and knuckle alignment. Maybe I'm double jointed or something but I can align my hands and knuckles independently from my rear elbow height. Basically it comes from cocking my top hand wrist back towards the elbow. With different amounts of wrist cock, I can align my hands and knuckles in almost anyway without paying any attention to rear elbow height. And just to be clear, I am talking about aligning the middle knuckles (the door knocking knuckles). Traditionally, people have said to align the middle knuckles so the form a straight line from bottom hand to top hand.
