Hi,

You stated: "do not try to stay in your zone longer."

Do you really think having your bat in the same path of the incoming ball for a shorter period of time gives you a more probable chance of hitting it?

I agree that when a hitter tries to go beyond extension the swing quality goes down, but the swing quality also goes down when the hitter tries to cover less area in that hitting zone.

Am I misunderstanding your swing description?
