Teacherman,

I would rather have the fastest portion of my batspeed happening at the point of contact rather than as you state...""batspeed "behind" him"" or before contact.

If the fastest portion of the swing happens at "go" than the bat is decelerating through contact.

Any MLB hitter that I have been along side of (some of them are even in your post of clips), has the fastest portion of their batspeed happening through the contact zone.

I know this because this is the area of the swing that I can accually hear the "swoosh" sound that there batspeed makes.

Maybe your hitters don't make a sound with there batspeed. If they do and it is happening ""behind"" them, than they are really missing out.
