Re: Mr. X

X, Hope that are doing well in college ball and that you have a great year. As long as you are playing you have a chance. I am a scout and have signed a guy that ended up being a big leaguer because he had the ability to listen to instruction and then use what he needed and toss the rest aside. When he was in college, not many people gave him a chance to hit .200 in pro ball. He could run and throw, but took the worst emergency hacks you have ever seen. He still does not have a pretty swing, but he is now in his 5th year in the big leagues and makes over a million per year. He was open minded and listen to the experienced coaches who helped him to become as good as he could be, and that is all you can ask for.

Mr. X, I too would like to wish you great sucess. From your posts, I gather that either (1) you are in a state of turmoil, looking for any kind of tip that might be the Silver Bullit that makes everything fall into place or (2) you already feel you have learned everything there is to learn and you just want to pass let the world know what worked for you.Of course, if the latter applies to you, please be careful to remember that what worked for Mays did not necessairily work for Mantle. If the former applies to you, good luck in your quest.
