I would like to say that I like your site very much (although I do not agree with everything you talk about). Do you believe in having translational movement in the swing? Notice in the logo at the top of your site that this hitter does in fact have translational movement as I understand it.

No, this is not at all clear from one shot. One shot is just that. You cannot say what motion preceded or will follow this frame.

How do you know the person did not draw his right leg back for the shot? How do you know the image is not animated?

Furthermore, even if a step forward occurred, as you suggest, this does not necessarily mean weight transferred forward. If the arms and bat are drawn back with sufficient force during the step, then it is possible the body's center of mass wrt earth never changed.
