Re: Mr. X

X, Hope that are doing well in college ball and that you have a great year. As long as you are playing you have a chance. I am a scout and have signed a guy that ended up being a big leaguer because he had the ability to listen to instruction and then use what he needed and toss the rest aside. When he was in college, not many people gave him a chance to hit .200 in pro ball. He could run and throw, but took the worst emergency hacks you have ever seen. He still does not have a pretty swing, but he is now in his 5th year in the big leagues and makes over a million per year. He was open minded and listen to the experienced coaches who helped him to become as good as he could be, and that is all you can ask for.

You may not believe this, but I am one of the most coachable kids on my team I always have been. And that is my former coaches talking. But, as you have already noticed, I do know a lot about baseball. I know how to do things right and how to win. I can't stand losing and refuse to do things the wrong way that might contribute to losing. If I have a question about something, I always ask my coach. After all, I better make sure I'm doing it my coaches way if I'm not sure how to do it.

But, unfortunately, people (including myself) wouldn't even give me a chance to hit .001 in the Majors. I'm not selling myself short, but I can see the truth. If it happens great, if it doesn't thats ok. Just as long as I did the best I could along the way.
