Jack and Teacherman etc. With regard to the above posts and the posts in general, it would be more beneficial to the board for you all to take time out to explain fully your disagreements albeit in a concise manner.

For the sake of the board, no one benefits by hiding behind terms or picking out an unrelated point in a series of paragraphs and attacking it in order to perceive themselves as not losing face and thus enabling one not to answer a question.

But with regard to your arguments. I believe that how far the shoulder rotates depends more on how far the hitter is from the plate. A hitter who is away from the plate would seem to rotate at least as much on an outside pitch as he has to rotate more just to be able to cover that part of the plate on an outside strike.
