Jimmy,

I believe that every hitter has a ultimate "potential". Everyones potential is different, some can reach the bat speed of the best, while others will not. Even some that can obtain the bat speed of the greatest may not ever reach the ability to hit like them, there are so many factors that goes in to hitting then just bat speed. I think that Tommy Lasorda once said that every player will ultimately reach there day of reconing, some sooner then others, but everyone gets there eventually.
