I am confused about the top hand when the swing starts. I have read the it should be pulled back to create torque. I have also read the having the top hand moving back to soon causes the hands to drop and the result is a upper cut swing with the dreaded pop ups. Help me on this, I am confused.

Interesting question, how to accomplish this "pulling" of the top hand "back".What is even more interesting is that with all of the instructional books and videos out there, NO ONE addresses this issue.
