hello jw!
i'm thinkin what you show is ample evidence of being on the first pitch..
on the other hand the numbers show the BA goes up on 1-0,2-0,2-1,3-1..
the assumption is you are going to get there..i endorse that mentality assuming the first pitchis not what you were looking for..
but when you are scott podsednik & ALWAYS passing on first picth lollipops, you are jumping in a hole which is very hard to dig out of..
i believe the 0-1 number is an anomaly, as I read somewhere the season long BA on 0-1 was .170. .. 0-2 was .194
last month numbers involve a lot of players who are first time players up from the minors.. so i'm thinking those numbers are not quite normal..
still... looking to rip on your pitch on the first pitch is a much better way to go than being stuck in the 0-1 or 0-2 hole..
