I CORKED MY OWN BAT USING SUPERBALLS AND WOODPUTTY TO TRY TO HIT HOMERUNS. I HAVE NOT HIT A HOMERUN YET BUT HAVE NOTICED THAT MY LINE DRIVE HITS ARE TRAVELING A NOTICEABLE INCREASE IN VELOCITY. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT I CAN USE A HEAVIER BAT 35 OUNCES RATHER THAN THE 32 OUNCE BAT I USED TO SWING. I FEEL THE CORKED BAT WILL HELP ME OBTAIN A HIGHTER BATTING AVERAGE AS WELL AS LEAD TO MORE HOMERUNS. I USE MY BAT FOR SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL.

To me, your second to last sentence sums it all up. You FEEL that the cork will help. Wether the cork actually helps or not, your confidence is now higher than ever. And confidence is what really makes a difference at the plate. I can almost gurantee that you will hit better now. NOT becuase of the cork, but because of the ?false? confidence you now have.
