Re: too quick

Ever since I switched over to rotational mechanics, I can't seem to wait on the ball. I always swing early, even when i try 2 wait. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is a very common problem. Now you have a good swing but your timing is all messed up. It takes many many reps to reprogram your timing. I recommend waiting to the point of being late (even swinging and missing) and then work up from there. Next step is foul off pitches being late, next is hitting to opposite field etc etc. Being early and slowing down just doesn't work.

A "cue" that may help is only swing at where a batting tee would be. Let the ball get to the imaginery tee and time the barrel to the tee. I find it much easier to time the ball and barrel to a specific spot (the tee) than to just time the pitch.
