Jack we have discussed this for a long time,if we look at the question many I think would be accurate to say neither,we hit with a bat would be more accurate,and then others could say we hit with our hands since they are only body part touching the bat and that shoulder rotation is only an aid to enhance the speed with which yhe hands bring the bat around.
Swinging and hitting are 2 different points and god given eyesight and the mind being able to make sense of hitting better by some more than others have alot to do with hitting but to look at swinging alone I think the whole kinetic chain that we have shredded apart over the last decade is how we hit and no one body part is more important than the other because if you take 1 away the system fails.
