>>> According to the 'Final Arc' page, "the all-new,
second edition to Jack Mankin's revolutionary
"The Final Arc." Expanding on the first video's
instruction and theory, this new edition ...".

So does that mean that there's a first edition I
need to buy and watch first? I'm new to this, I
don't want to drop $40 on a DVD that makes
references to a first tape that I don't have. <<<

Hi Dave

You would not need to order “The Final Arc”. It had a seminar format where I discussed and demonstrated the swing mechanics and rotational principles found in the site’s articles and discussion board. It has been retired for the more instructional version “Final Arc II.” In the Instructional Video/DVD, we (John Elliott and I) work with a couple of young players on a step-by-step program for developing sound rotational mechanics.

We included slow-motion and frame-by-frame clips from different angles of John demonstrating a circular hand-path, top-hand-torque and bottom-hand-torque. During a taped live batting practice, John emulates the swings of Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Gary Sheffield (a very good job of it, I might add) . He shows that regardless of the different styles the batters exhibits in preparation for the swing, their swing mechanics from launch to contact are all basically the same. And he hit one out of the park with each style to prove it.
