Answers:

1. A “servo” is a motor or device that supplies the initial small input power to a much larger power. A control system that converts a small mechanical motion into one requiring much greater power.

2. It is, in the testing procedures.

3. I’m not sure we want our bat to coast into contact. Why the bat testing lab does this to test bats, is another question?

4. Either decelerating or maintaining last attained speed.

WHAT ACUALLY HAPPENS IN THE LAST 12 INCHES (or so) OF THE SWING, HAS LONG BEEN A QUESTION FOR WHICH I HAVE SOUGHT AN ANSWER.
