Re: Watch Edgar

Are there any correlations between a proper baseball swing and a proper golf swing? Or do the differ entirely?

Further, I try to create "lag" in my golf swing ((where I keep the "L" shape of the relatively straight left arm and the club shaft)), so that I can create power and release the club late in my downswing to create the most clubhead speed. This might be referred to as a "whip-like" motion.

Coach C,

I love watching Edgar hit. My 5 yr old loves Ichiro so we watch a lot of Mariners games (MLB Extra Innings package) so I've seen a lot of them. There seem to be so many pretty left handed swings in baseball but not many RH swings. Edgar is the exception. Hits for average and power to all fields. I'm a Cardinals fan and Pujols is the same way. Hit the ball where it's pitched and hit it hard.
