Garret,

I agree that this appears to depict linear mechanics. The reason for putting this up is simple: I have recently seen several 14 year old kids (130-150 pounds)using minus 3 bats, putting balls over 300 foot fences with these mechanics. They also consistently hit the ball hard.

Suprised others have not taken at shot at this question.
