If Im not mistaken, I believe that Mcgwire (sp?) early loaded later in his career when he was with the Cardinals. Other than that off the top of my head I couldnt think of one, lol, and in hinesight I suppose Mcgwire could swing almost anyway he wanted and still hit it about 500ft, monster.

~D~, All the hitters including McGwire do not have their foot down until the ball is on its way to home plate. Many college coaches are talking about getting the foot down early, and it is nonsense. My answer is this....how early? you could put your foot down right now for tomorrows game. Is that early enough? Get the foot down right on time is what a hitter needs to work on. Don't be early and don't be late. Either one will produce failure.
