Tom, I went through the softball thing, but thank goodness she is grown up now as the triple headers were enough to drive me nuts. I agree with you that the teaching of pitching/throwing in most areas is very poor, as is the hitting instruction. I have spent my time working with my own son who is a hitter and is in college (UCLA) on scholarship. As long as he is swinging the bat properly, I am happy. I have a granddaughter who is 2 and I pray that she takes up basketball or volleyball.
