Re: batspeed through contact

Posted by: Coach C () on Wed Oct 8 09:02:07 2003

i was looking at another site discussing power. ray demarini was talking about him hitting compared to his friend. he had analyzed both of their batspeeds. both had similar swings and their batspeeds were both 95 mph. however his friend hit the ball considerably further. he found out that his batspeed after contact slowed down to 56 mph. his friend was able to keep his bat speed up to 89 after contact. what can be done to assure your batspeed stays high after contact.

Don't extend your top arm too soon. Max batspeed is right before extension.
