> I'd say he does, he has one of the most level swings in baseball, he chops at the ball to give it backspin so it carries a lot more than swinging with an uppercut, most of his HRs are line drives which shows that they have a lot of carry. Lau taght that a downward chopping swing was best
Jaydub...there ain't no chop in Barry's swing. While he has great bat control and can pull off about any swing. The balls that get wet in McCovey's Cove are rotational mechanics with an uppercut...see those clips ...text book swing.
