Old School Rotational Hitting

Posted by: THG () on Thu Feb 21 18:14:49 2008

Jack. When you have the opportunity, could you analyze the swing of some old school hitters (Yogi Berra, Duke Snider,etc...) I happened to see some old clips of them on mlb.com. I noticed how they exhibited rotational techniques in pulling the ball, but seemed to have shorter swings, which might explain why they were less prone to a lot of strikeouts yet hit with power.
