Baseball Mom,

Theoretically a mound should allow you to throw a little bit harder. However, from one day to the next a kid may be throwing harder for other reasons (tired, not tired, mechanics are better one day than the next). In addition, our perceptions change and your eye (perceptions) may not be telling you the truth. The only way to get real objective feedback is with radar. Even the radar gun lies, but not too often.
