Re: Personal Pitcher

Posted by: reg... () on Wed Oct 29 04:37:54 2003

I purchased the Personal Pitcher this past spring for my 8 year old son. The quality is good. I spoke to the manufacture before purchasing and that sort of eased my worries about the quality. They seem to stand behind their product.

You load several golf size wiffle balls into the machine. My model, standard model, holds about 2 dozen balls. It attaches to a camera tripod. It pitches balls at a 5 second interval. Has a warning indicator light to notify when a pitch will be released. Has a speed regulator to deliver the pitches at two seperate speeds.

The pitch location is consistent when there is no wind. Because it uses wiffle balls, during windy days the balls have a lot of movement. If you are going to use the machine indoors, you will need at least 15 feet.

I would definitely recommend purchasing the machine. It is like having a batting cage at your house. I use the personal pitcher in conjunction with the swift stik. So it reminds me of the stick ball games I use to play as a kid.
