Re: Re: Decision

My daughter does great with pitching machines. But during a game with live pitching she struggles. Her mechanics are good. She tells me her problem is that she has trouble deciding to hit a pitch or let the pitch go. By the time she makes the decison, it is too late. Any advice?

One thing I have always taught my hitters to do mentally as they go to the plate is be telling themselves they are going to swing at every pitch(a mind set of swinging NOW), then if it is not a pitch to hit then decide to NOT swing. There is not enough time to make the decision to swing and then get the body started, but there is enough time decide to stop the swing and get it stopped!
