No, it will not. In pitching, you have unlimited time. You could theoretically counter-rotate as much as a golfer if you wanted to (ignoring stress on joints and the like). In hitting, you need to be very quick. My opinion is this: if you teach PLT, THT, and BHT, the lower body does what it has to. The lower body is slaved to the upper in good swings. The lower body ALWAYS gets open; the "hands" (wrists, hands, forearms, arms) are what make the decision to swing or not.
