I doubt any one of them will come back on the forum and say..."you know...I just didn't get what you meant by "x" degree angle, axis, flexion, extension or initiation?" What they will do is move onto another site and again- try to find another simplified band aid solution they can better understand.

Verses say a video with proven systems and with the ability to freeze frame, slow motion, frame by frame, rewind, trouble shoot etc.? A video or CD that can "show" a viewer the above noted scientific terms!

It is not "just" a kids game...most posters on this site would agree that their are countless adults and many, many multi-millionaires playing this great game. However, teaching kids the correct age appropriate mechanics as a child ensures they continue to find a modicum of success in one of the "toughest things to do in sports" (hit a baseball) as they grow older. The perhaps, fewer kids will jump the baseball ship to go play Soccer (stats support that statement).

> Excuse me, but I can attest to the learning value of this site. In case anyone hasn't noticed, over the last several weeks I made some posts regarding the success my son and others have had, all thanks to this site. Just to summarize, one night I ran across this site, read the material and was convinced that rotational principles made a lot of sense. The next day I taught these principles to my son, he improved dramatically improved in his nest game, and he was convinced. Before you know it, 20 or 30 minutes before the regular team practices he taught these same principles (all that came from this very site)to some of the other kids , and now I would say that we probably have the best-hitting 9 & 10 year old team in the entire league.By the way, it's not just 9 and 10 year olds who can learn. Our church league team has several gals and right before a game they learned rotational principles the Jack Mankin Way and some of them are out-hitting the guys!
> So,it would seem that if reading the things at this site can basically result in some youngsters being on their way to scholarships or the big leagues, it certainly makes sense to me that by asking questions and receiving answers can be all the more productive. I suspect that those who resent people getting answers to their questions are really frustrated failures. Well, they don't have to be failures, all they have to do is get off their tail & spend a few hours reading the material at this site! They will learn and no longer be frustrated.
> To Jack, Tom and all the other pros at this site, keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!

You absolutely should be excused...

Now I have read enough to know the true power of written descriptions of one of the most complex things to do in sports!

We have 9&10 year old kids teaching the rotational swing mechanics to other 9&10 year olds and...get this...in 20 minutes!!!

College recruiters drop everything and fly out to meet these kids! Forget it...Pro Scouts...jump on the next jet and go sign these kids now to multi-billion dollar contracts!!!

Gee Jack, Epstein and any other professional hitting experts and consultants -your careers are in jeopardy! Jack- you helped create this phenomenon with this site and should be proud when you here such amazing stuff.

OK Mr. Amazing...I pose the same rhetorical question to you:
Could you and these now self teaching and gifted kids have accomplished this "teaching wizardry" as fast if not faster via use of video or cd visualization??? I never questioned the effects of a rotational swing but...You want me to believe you were successful in explaining to these kids and more so ...that these kids are equally successful in describing the biomechanics and all the other scientific jargon that is involved with this swing that is STILL the basis for my original comment on this topic?

Hey- maybe you just didn't need all that non-sensical jargon and YOU were able to "digest" it and reproduce it in simpler terms for 9&10 year olds too figure it out...and you did ALL that "just by written piece meal info" given to you on this site??? Hmmmmm????

Perhaps the stars all lined up and you were given these "band aid" tips in the right order and in the sequence that enabled you to put together all the intricate pieces of this hitting puzzle to create the quick change 20 minute learning curve that made your son and now gadzillion other kids in your own words...learn this "right before a game????". PLEASE!!!!

Uh...shouldn't we all be buying YOURS and these kids "just add water" teaching tape??? Would you care to send one to say Jack or Epstein for a professional evaluation? That's called putting up or shutting up.

Poor Epstein...all this time he has been preaching the research behind
the need for 1500 repetitions to de-learn and then re-learn the correct muscle memory to enable a hitter to perform this difficult swing "correctly". Here you come along and thanks to some written descriptions...no videos, no pictures...just words...and YOU did it with your own kid "overnight" and then...your kid taught it to other kids in less than 20 minutes before game time!!!!!

Look out experts...there is a new lemonade stand
at the ballpark and these kids aren't selling lemonade!

Any one else buying into this guys fairy tale scenario???
