Rich also explained this well in an earlier post(12/22):
"the shoulders will begin to turn from rotation of the torso"
This avoids the disconnection that would result from unshrugging the shoulders (unpinching the lead scap) at launch.Either this or top hand push can disconnect/slide/drag the bat.
However,you may want to hook the handpath later as contact is approached to accentuate tight hooking of the handpath by unshrugging/unpinching.
