I'm starting to do some research on which bat I should get for my son (7 yrs, 56 lbs, not very tall, but a swing speed of 80 mph with a 28/16.0.

stick with the 28 inch...you might even try the 8.5 drop or senior league bat,,if he can get it around....that would be a 28 inch 19.5 big barrel...29 inch seems a little long for a 7 yr old?
