Put together a small clip showing the foot position of a few pretty good hitters. These guys happen to land relatively “closed”. I believe from closed to 45 degrees is acceptable, but I prefer closed, especially for younger players as it helps them get used to staying in there and not bailing. These players are solid evidence that you do not need to land at 45 degrees to facilitate rotation as some have suggested. Nick

I also believe you do not NEED to land open, but it helps if you know how to use it correctly. Also Vlady strides closed too. Your foot ends up turning anyways so if you can handle it you might as well stride with your foot landing at 45 degrees. Whatever works.

Btw Nick where do u find those clips, do you tape them yourself?
