wood bats

Posted by: kevin () on Thu Jan 29 10:23:11 2004

Where should the label be facing on a wood bat when swinging? As a kid, we had the label face the catcher when the bat is held out over the plate. It seemed to have worked then.

I have recently read where a major league catcher (I forgot who) told a batter to get his label up (facing the sky with the bat held over the plate). Which is correct?
