Re: We can only see what we want to see...

For those who missed it, my initial post was too:

1. Respond to Jack's comments about me not allowing differing views on the ****** (I purposely censored the name) web site. To which I said there are no views other than my own expressed publicly because I don't have the time, energy or patience with the foolishness that prevails when someone's religion and politics are questioned (baseball swing and throw bully systems).

2. Suggest that a debate between some of the better known "antiestablishment" and establishment baseball swing instructional people might be fun as well as interesting and I suggested a format for that happening.

My subsequent posts were made to illustrate (I thank those who responded as I expected) and support my premise and I quote;

"The SETPRO public forums have been closed for quite awhile. Not due to fear of discussing swing issues. But rather because it was taking too much time to maintain the forums to the standard that I felt was necessary."

Those who are in such fear that this web site is being used to support ****** and other web site here, please give me a break.

I have never had a problem at ****** with someone referencing another web site. In fact I welcome it because it gives me "cannon fodder" (material) to write about in show how smart I am... ;-)

It is my opinion that closing yourself off to what exists around you is living in a fools paradise. It is the Emperor's New Robe analogy that is quite often.

As far as being "run off" or "scared off" by Jack's fans, I can only chuckle because some of those same people probably believe that major-league baseball represents the highest level of baseball instruction. And unless you play professional baseball you really aren't qualified to give baseball swing and throw advice or instruction.

And if I recollect correctly I don't believe Jack ever played or coached at the professional level, which I view as a significant positive.

Also for my associations with professional baseball people, they perceive Jack's views on hitting mechanics and their instruction as foolish (shortest distance is a straight-line) and a waste of time.

So if I or anyone else have overly promoted ******, I apologize to Jack and I would ask any other ****** or Paul Nyman "hero worshiper" to refrain from using the word ****** on this web site.

Really thing that ever ask of anyone posting on any web site, is that they make sure they give proper recognition for the ideas, concepts and materials that have been developed by others.

And I think Jack for allowing me to present my "case".
