Teaching Hitting Intangibles

Posted by: Brian Ward (Ward62@AOL.COM) on Tue Mar 30 09:26:33 2004

I work with many hitters on applying rotational mechanics. These hitters have been fed linear cues for years. I am seeing great progress in the positive change in their average and slugging percentage. Here is where I want to take the At Bat to the next level. Because we are limited on duplicating timing and reaction to different locations and speed commonly found in game situations, it is difficult to convey a solid approach to improving attack. Does anyone have some thoughts to an appraoch to improving timing in regard to laod and launch. Some hitters find the timing easily where others struggle in game situations. I would also like to post a swing clip for analysis. Please direct me on how to do this. Thank you in advance for your responses.
