Some Simple Advice Please (couln't get my post up, so had to put it under reply)

My name is Jesse, and I'm 15. I currently have a 33" wood bat that I swing daily. I don't know how heavy it is, partly because I don't have a scale that measures ounces a and partly because, like most wood bats, it doesn't say. Like most hitters, I'm looking to improve my bat speed. I'm not really sure whether my swing is quick or slow, simply because I've never had anyone comment on it. The summer is coming up soon, which means I'll have a lot more free time on my hands. My plan is to buy a tee, and just hit ball after ball, every day. Now after reading some of the articles on this site it's clear the authors know what they're talking about, so I trust their opinions. I don't have the money for any special bat speed gadget or anything like that, so I don't know how flexible your answers can be. But simply, will that idea work? Is hitting off a tee enough? Should I do more? If so, what? And lastly, what would be a better idea, hitting off a tee, or hitting in the cage?

P.S. Is bat speed honestly something you can improve considerably? I understand if it wasn't possible none of you would have bothered spending the amount of time you did on this site, but can you improve is to a point where it makes you better? To a point where it could get you from good High School hitter to a High School hitter with college potential?

Thanks a lot, any help will do!

Jesse
