Donny, I think you hit the nail on it's head!! I took my son for a private today and the instructor noted exactly what you said in your post. He said it just looks like he's ahead of the ball because of his stride. He corrected his stride & of course, the boy started creaming the ball again. The instructor also said the bat weight has nothing to do with it & his bat was perfect for his age.
