Re: Pulling the Ball

Posted by: Teacherman () on Wed Apr 21 06:50:06 2004

So far this season i have hit the majority of my balls to center field. I know that normally there is no promlem with this, but i would like to be able to pull the ball more so that i can hit more home runs. (There have been a number of long doubles i have hit to center that would go out to left easily) The strange thing is that in bp i am pulling almost everything out. The problem is not the speed of the pitching but i think rather in my approach at the plate. I would be thankful if anyone could offer any tips/ advice concerning how to pull the ball consistently. (hand positioning, less of an inward turn? or simply mind set.)

It is a question of timing which means you sometimes need to go the other way.Wider arc and going the other way will make up for lost time but with you still staying rotational and not linear.
