Hi BHL

>>> As for BHT and THT, we may need better definitions for these terms. Nyman, for instance, suggests BHT and THT may be the respective reactive forces of body rotation and inertia.”

Torque is the precise scientific definition of forces applied at the handle that induce angular displacement of the bat-head. THT and BHT are not cues. They define the direction of force of the Top & Bottom-hands apply at initiation and just before contact.

>>> After browsing over some of Epstein's posts, though, I finally seem to have a conceptual grasp for what it is: "The path the hands take, tight to the body, as they rotate around their axis." <<<

A batter does not need to keep his hands “tight to the body” to generate a CHP. A batter can cast his hands away from the body into a wide path and have a CHP.
