Dear Jack i was wondering if u like Ted williams feels u should let yourself go on the inside pitch or try to stay inside it like Tony Gwynn used to? When I say stay inside i don't mean punching it to right I just mean pulling your hands in and hitting it farther back in the zone. jack.....while you are at it, maybe you could explain what some people mean by "hands inside the ball" (i never saw any hitter who had his hands outside the ball).......generally those who say "hands inside the ball" also preach "knob straight to the ball","short to the ball", etc and are advocates of the fence drill.......respectfully, grc.....
