My 12-year-old just completed his little league season, and he was incredible. His batting average was highest in the league and he set a new single-season homerun record, even though after the first couple weeks few teams would pitch to him (he also probably set a record for intentional walks). He has always been an excellent hitter, but I give The Final Arc the credit for his performance this season. Last season he had a high batting average, but with only 2 HRs, lacked the power I thought he should have had. After last season ended, I bought the DVD and we worked on rotational swing principles steadily throughout the fall and winter. At his team's first practice in the spring, he hit six of the first 10 live pitches he saw over the fence (210-230 feet) and never looked back.

For him, I believe rotational mechanics are completely natural. If left to his own devices (i.e., without coaches--and I admit it, me-- drilling linear mechanics into him over the years), I think he would be using the basic mechanical principles of the rotational swing even if he had never been taught them. For parents of young players, I say get the DVD and teach your kids rotational hitting from the start. I wish I had. Thanks, Jack. You've made big fans out of me and my son.
