Thank you both for taking the time to reply. My usage of the term "roped" belies the excitement both my son and I have had. The greatest challange has been finding the time to spend equally with all the kids as I find myself gravitating towards the kids that obviously don't get much help at home. A follow up question re aligning the knuckles, may I trouble you for specifics? One of other dads helpling out told my son to hold the bat aligning the big knuckles (base of fingers) on both hands. I've always set up with the middle set of knuckles on the top hand over the knuckles that join the fingers to the bottom hand (make any sense?).
