What did Barry Bonds mean by using his top hand on THis Week In Baseball

Unfortunately, the only way to really understand what he meant is to have him clarify his statement. We can only speculate. He may have meant that the top hand is supposed to finish the swing by transfering the head of the bat into the incoming pitch.
