Re: Aluminum Bat markings -12?

Posted by: () on Wed Aug 4 19:09:04 2004

I haven't been in the market for a baseball bat for some time, while looking around I'm noticing a lot of the bats have a -12 or -7 on them, I was hoping for an explaination of what this number represents. I'm guessing it has something to do with weight distribution but I'm not real sure. Thanks in advance.

It's called the "drop". Drop 12 for example 30 in. bat 18 oz.
