Re: Re: Jack: grip pressure

Does the pressure in your hands/fingers affect the swing at all? Ted Williams recommends an extremely firm grip, but my hands feel to stiff and so does my swing. If I have a loose grip, the bat slips almost right out of my hands, where my top hand is touching the knob, and my bottom 2 finger of my bottom hand are off-like Moises Alou.

a loose grip promotes batspeed vs a tight grip,,,don't believe it? try it.theres an ole saying"kill the ball, not the bat"
> Hey there. You and I have talked before. I think you want the opposite...somewhat firm bottom hand but loose top hand. The bat needs to be able to move around within the fingers of the top hand as it will rotate some.
