Hi all. New to the board.

I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it, but a few years ago, I know I read an
article about techniques for measuring home run distance. Seems in Mantle's day, these
estimates were crude almost to the point of being non-scientific. The article concluded
that Mantle almost certainly DID NOT hit a home run 650 feet, as he is reputed to have
done.
