>>> Why won't any college coaches just look at the facts. Watch how the pros swing. I have swung the way you teach since for 8 years. I am a junior at a major college. I watch all the other players beat the ball in the ground and chop at it. But then when i hit and hit hard and stay in the path of the ball. They tell me that i am pulling off the ball and tryin to raise the ball. Also that i am swinging up. It is so frustrating. Just needed to vent. <<<

Hi Sam

Believe me, I know what you are going through. About two dozen of the boys and girls I have worked with (video swing analysis), have graduated from High School and received college scholarships. I receive countless e-mails from frustrated parents and players with stories like yours concerning their college coaches. Although these players were picked mainly because of their hitting, the coaches still insist the players adopt the swing mechanics these coaches were taught 30 years ago.

Sam, I wish I had encouraging news. But I must conclude that although a few coaches here and there that have opened their eyes, for the most part, what you report appears to remain the norm.
