>>> Hi Jack,
you have found a relationship between bat trajectory and slugging%. Have you found any relationship between bat trajectory and batting average? <<<

Hi Chuck

I have not yet conducted that relationship. However, as the stats below indicates, many of batters with the highest slugging percentage are also among the leaders in batting average.

2 Gordon Beckham, Georgia 0.871 -- 0.435
3 Buster Posey, Florida St. 0.862 -- 0.483
4 Chris Shehan, Ga. Southern 0.854 -- 0.469
5 Jeremie Tice, Col. of Charl. 0.833 -- 0.365
6 Ryan Lavarnway, Yale 0.824 -- 0.398
7 Sawyer Carroll, Kentucky 0.816 -- 0.465
8 E Thames, Pepperdine 0.815 -- 0.414
