What about Ted Williams and Mac?

There is a clear geometric advantage IMO.

I read your posts, and they were are lucid and well-argued, but consider this:

If one is late pulling the ball, the ball is either hit straight-away, or to the opposite field.

If the batter is late one of the other approaches, it is either a foul ball, or a strike.
